What a strong AI solicitation asks for.
If you are writing an RFQ or RFP for AI implementation on the Microsoft stack, these are the asks that separate credible offerors from slideware — use them freely.
Technical approach
- A data-governance plan before a model plan — sources, quality, provenance, access control
- Model evaluation methodology: benchmarks, held-out testing, uncertainty communication
- Human-in-the-loop and rollback design for consequential decisions
- Cost governance: how AI spend is capped, cached and monitored in code
Compliance & delivery
- NIST AI RMF-informed risk treatment; agency AI-inventory awareness
- Section 508 / WCAG conformance for every user-facing deliverable
- Security architecture: managed identity, least privilege, no standing secrets
- Adoption and training plan with measured outcomes, not license counts
- Key-personnel continuity commitments and a named delivery lead
